Ryan Goessl - Baritone

The Camarata Music Company aims to provide an opportunity for people, both Korean and foreigners, to perform beautiful classical music together.  With the lack of performance opportunities within Korea, we aim to provide an avenue for classical musicians to perform, hone in on their musical technique, build repertoire, and perform.  With performers from many nationalities, we hope to bring many different experiences from people of many different cultures.  We also wish to provide more opportunities for the public to hear classical performances, and experience collaborative performances of people from many different nationalities.

우리말로 '우애 혹은 동지애'를 뜻하는 'camaraderie'라는 단어에 기원한 카마라타뮤직컴퍼니(Camarata Music Company, 약칭 CMC)는 한국에서 외국인과 한국인이 함께 클래식 음악을 연주하고 즐기며 나아가 우정을 쌓는 것을 목적으로 설립되었습니다. 지금까지 클래식 음악을 사랑하는 외국인들이 한국에서 함께 모여 연주할 기회가 드물었던 것이 사실이었습니다. 이에 저희는 연주 기회를 마련하고, 그 활동을 통해 각자의 음악적 소질을 계발하며, 다양한 연주 레퍼토리를 쌓아가도록 하는 것을 목표로 삼고 있습니다. 전 세계 다양한 나라에서 온 음악 애호가들이 모여 활동함으로써 국적을 초월한 연주 스타일을 서로 배우고 즐길 수 있는 경험을 공유함과 동시에, 저희 카마라타뮤직컴퍼니가 한국에서의 음악 애호가들과의 교류와 소통의 장이 되었으면 하는 바램입니다.

Who We Are

Ryan Goessl (Founder, Soloist, Choirmaster) - Ryan Goessl has a Master’s of Music Degree from the University of Southern California in Vocal Arts Performance.  He is an active voice instructor, soloist, and voice actor, having performed within the U.S.A, Northern Europe, and Korea, both as a soloist and with choirs. 

He is currently active in opera, oratorio and concert work, and has an active voice studio.  Recent classical and operatic performances include: Handel's Messiah, Beethoven's Mass in C, Idomeneo (Gran Sacerdote), La cambiale di matrimonio (Norton), Oklahoma! (Ali Hakim), Agrippina (Pallante).

Having studied voice with renowned Mezzo-soprano, Nina Hinson, he is known for his powerful vocal presence and artistry.  He has also studied choral technique, conducting, and literature with his mentor, world renowned master choral director, Weston Noble.

Brendan Hollins (Conductor, Pianist, Violinist) - Brendan Hollins completed his BMus, BMusHons, at the Universities of Natal and Stellenbosch, in South Africa, respectively. Since studying with the world-renowned piano duo, Nina Schumann and Luis Magalhães, he has performed as soloist on many occasions with various symphony orchestras in South Africa.

As an instrumentalist, Brendan has extensive orchestral experience as pianist and violinist and has toured Austria, Portugal, and Thailand.

As a conductor he has worked on productions with world-renowned theatre director, Marthinus Basson.
